Emily Ho

Violinist
Emily Ho was born in California and began violin studies at age four. Salutatorian of the Interlochen Arts Academy, she received a Bachelor of Music degree cum laude from Northwestern University. After a year of graduate work at Rice University, she joined the Saint Louis Symphony at the age of twenty-one and is currently the youngest member of the orchestra.
During the summers, she has performed at the Music Academy of the West, Festival Institute at Roundtop, Tanglewood Music Center, and the Aspen Music Festival as an orchestral fellowship recipient.
Her principal teachers include Kathleen Winkler, professor at Rice, and Blair Milton, professor at Northwestern and violinist in the Chicago Symphony. Also an accomplished pianist, Emily performed the Grieg Piano Concerto at the Interlochen Arts Camp with the World Youth Symphony Orchestra as a winner of the concerto competition.
